Small shops, long roads, and the two finest specimens of the year.
The account
A route assembled entirely from shops that keep their own hours. I was turned away twice, given tea three times, and shown a back room I am still not certain I was meant to see.
Both specimens of this volume were found within a fortnight of each other, which the Society's constitution describes as a purple patch and I describe as luck holding longer than usual.
Two specimens, both of them better company than the roads between them.
