Hansa Red Squirrel
Specimen notes: sitting up, paws together, tail flared in the manner of an animal deciding whether you are a threat. Hansa's hand-finished build catches the ear tufts, which is the detail that separates a red squirrel from the grey one that replaced it.

What the Society noted
Hansa got the ear tufts right, and the tufts are how you tell a red from the grey that replaced it. Our native squirrel, hanging on in the northern pines and a few southern pockets — a rarer sight in the wild than on this shelf.
