Hansa Sitting Jack Rabbit
Specimen notes: Hansa build to the animal, not to the toy — hand-sewn, wire-framed, whiskers and all. The sitting jack rabbit has the alert, slightly nervous posture of the real thing on a verge at dusk.

What the Society noted
The alert, half-crouched posture is the true thing here — a hare on a verge at dusk sits exactly like this, ready to be gone. Not a rabbit, mind: longer in leg and ear, and a wild animal that never really tames.
