What the Society noted

Sprout

Curly oatmeal coat, cocoa ears, one paw already raised — sized for a coat pocket and built for the long haul. The Little range travels light, so it is the one that goes to the grandparents' and actually comes home again.

Wonders of the real world

The real dog

Dogs were the first animal people domesticated, over 14,000 years ago.

A dog has about forty times more smell sensors than a person.

Newborn puppies cannot open their eyes.
