Proceedings of the Society · Department of Pseudo-Science

Findings, mostly true

The Society records what it finds, and a little of what it suspects. The Proceedings are read aloud at each meeting and entered here afterwards, corrected where the facts insisted.

Finding XII

A plush never sinks

Observed off Torquay in 1851 and again last Tuesday. The Society's diving bell has yet to recover one from the bottom; the otter surfaced first and regarded the company.

Finding XIII

Time travel is mostly waiting

The Clockwork Century runs eleven minutes slow. Members are advised to bring a book; Volume III is a good length.

Finding XIV

The frog is mostly air

A garden specimen from Hackney measured seventy-one parts air, as the Atlantic. The Society declines to speculate on the remaining twenty-nine.
