Jellycat Yummy Duckling

Jellycat Yummy Duckling

Specimen notes: a ball of pale fluff with an apricot bill and two enormous feet. Sits up unaided, which is more than can be said for the real thing at this age.

What the Society noted

The Explorer

A ball of pale fluff with an apricot bill and two enormous feet, sitting up unaided — which is more than the real thing manages at this age. The field note rather writes itself; the duckling simply beams through it.

Wonders of the real world

The real duck

Ducks live on every continent except Antarctica.

Most kinds of duck do not quack.

Mandarin ducklings leap from their tree nest when their mother calls.
