What the Society noted

The Explorer

Clip-on, pocket-sized, stocking-filler priced — the find you tuck in a bag and forget until it turns up and earns a grin. Same cute factor as the full-size plush at a fraction of the outlay; a sound first specimen for a small collector.

Wonders of the real world

The real grey wolf

The grey wolf is the largest wild member of the dog family.

Other wolves can hear a wolf's howl 10 to 11 kilometres away.

Wolves once lived in Britain. Folklore says the last was killed in 1680.
