What the Society noted

Fern

Hard plastic, hand-painted and anatomically honest — the one to reach for when a child wants true proportions, not a cuddle. The grey wolf is carried correctly; good for a small-world table where getting it right is half the play.

Wonders of the real world

The real grey wolf

The grey wolf is the largest wild member of the dog family.

Other wolves can hear a wolf's howl 10 to 11 kilometres away.

Wolves once lived in Britain. Folklore says the last was killed in 1680.
